Interview: Secrets to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Read this interview by Robert Bowling, creative strategist at the developer Infinity Ward who spoke to Yukari Iwatani Kane from Wall Street Journal revealing secrets to the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 game, Hans Zimmer has being roped in to compose score for the game to give gamers a cinematic experience, also Robert talks about other features in the game that would keep the gamers on their toes, also twitter has played an important role in shaping this game, Robert quotes from an interview to Develop Online “During development, if we are sitting in a design meeting and we are arguing about something, no matter what it is, I can just turn to what is now 60,000 people and post the same question,” Bowling told game developer news site Develop Online. “‘Do we think players will like this?’ well why don’t we ask 60,000 of them and get a good representation of what we think they may like?”, “The average gamer is so much closer to the people who make the games than they ever were before,” read more about this here

Well that’s something smart that Infinity Ward has done by approaching the gamers to know exactly what they want and not being too developer centric.
